Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Residence was conceived in 1980 by the elders at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church as a Not-for-Profit Seniors’ Residence committed to providing a dignified quality of life for Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian seniors. It began with the creation of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Community Homes – a charitable, non-profit corporation, which assumed responsibility for building and operating the Residence. Its founder and first president was the (late) Right Rev. Iwan Waszczuk, then pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Our Residence is a spacious, modern and well-maintained complex. The building is comprised of 3 separate wings – 10-floor apartment wing 4-floor retirement wing 2-floor ALC wing As defined by the Retirement Homes Act (RHA), our retirement home is occupied primarily by persons who are 65 or older, and makes available the following care services set out in the Act: providing meals, assistance with bathing, personal hygiene, dressing or ambulation, administering medicine, providing incontinence care or making available the services of a doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
